Workshop 1 - Yous Wot Sing
The workshop was held at a great, small venue called The Mill, and Men Wot Sing gathered about outside beforehand and funnelled a few friendly faces into the tent!
All up, we had about 120 - 150 people ready to get into When the Lion sleeps tonight" - it was spectacular! The room was choka block full of great singers letting their hair down!
We started with a general vocal warm up and then we sang through the song "The Lion Sleeps Tonight." We then split the audience into five parts and the various singers from Men Wot sing went and stood with each of the corresponding groups of singers.
We had bass, baritone, tenor, alto and lead / soprano parts.
Here's a YouTube clip of the final product! It only took us 45 minutes to perfect this fantastic song!
After the workshop many of the boys made their way back to the campsite where we chilled for a bit before turning straight around and heading back to The Muse for our evening gig. It wad a great success! A roaring audience screaming out for more! You can see a few shots of that concert here: The Muse - 27.12.09
